An Argument for Cessationism
Those who follow the Cessationist vs. Continuationist debate closely often complain that the Cessationist view is not really a scriptural view. The extent of the argument is generally that Charismaticism leads to Benny Hinn therefore it is bad. Phillip Johnson got into this for a while but is now attempting to provide justification for the Cessationist view. Whether you agree of not, he at least attempts to present a scriptural argument. I suggest that all read it here.

whats the deal with you & Brad Meyer?
Brad routinely visits the Cessationist discussions where he immediately attacks those who hold the view and questions their faith. He then elevates experience above Scripture and adamently denies Sola Scriptura. I distance myself from him to avoid being labled as the same group since I reject most of the stuff he espouses. It is the equivalent of Wayne Grudem or John Piper wanting to be a Continuationist but distancing themselves from Benny Hinn or Oral Roberts. It would be the same as distancing myself from Hyper-Calvinists.
